V Golf @ Spring Hill (Paola Golf Course)!

3 p.m. start

If you arrive after 8 o’clock on school day mornings, you need to sign in and if you leave the building during the school day (outside of lunch), you need to sign out with us in the office.  We need to be able to account for your whereabouts. Also, remember to check in with your AP teacher BEFORE you attend any meeting(s) or go to another classroom.  When you don’t and your teacher doesn’t know where you are, you are marked UNVERIFIED which can result in detention.

The Student Tutoring Union is a club led by students for students. If you need help with your classes, join us every Wednesday (starting TODAY!) in the Commons during AP to receive tutoring! If you're interested in being a volunteer tutor, pick up an application in the office and turn it in to Mr. Kimble.

The FSHS FFA Chapter will be hosting a blood drive with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks on Thursday, October 7th, from 8:30AM-2:30PM.  Students 16 years or older can donate.

FROM MR. SPORE:  Interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Initiative by MIT Graduate StudentsHow can Artificial Intelligence (AI) help mitigate the climate crisis, trace the spread of illness, build self-driving cars or identify bias in the criminal justice system?  How exactly does Netflix know what your next favorite TV show is BEFORE you do?!?  At the AI Scholars program, students learn to apply an AI

toolkit to tackle such real-world issues in domains they’re passionate about - no prior programming experience necessary!  Through a project-based curriculum, students work under the guidance of an AI mentor from Stanford or MIT to explore the ethics and applications of AI in healthcare, environment, law, music, astronomy and more!  At the end of the course, students gain a sophisticated understanding of AI, experience applying AI to real-world datasets and a final project to enhance your college portfolio and careers.   Applications for 2021 programs are open!  The deadline to apply is Thursday, September 30th.
