USD 234 Licensed Tiger Team Member of the Month was Emily Stephens, Winfield Scott Special Education Teacher. She was recognized by Tonya Barnes for being willing to help provide services to a student that attends a local private school. This would be in addition to her students at Winfield Scott.
A bit about Emily-
The best part about Emily's school day: "The best part of my school day is when students come into my room for groups and I get to greet and check in with them for the first time during that day - it gives me a chance to gauge where they're at and adjust my instruction accordingly!"
Emily's Family: "My husband and I live about 30 minutes from Fort Scott where we farm and raise cattle. I'm a second generation educator - my parents and my sister are all in education in different areas and we've all held multiple positions in education since starting!"
A fun fact about Emily: "I collect different coins including state quarters, national parks quarters, and pressed pennies from various places I've traveled."
