Stop Trafficking Project- Adult Community Presentation

USD 234 is excited to be hosting a BeAlert Presentation held by the Stop Trafficking Project.

BeAlert is giving a free presentation to the adults of our Fort Scott community on Wednesday, January 31st from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Fort Scott Community College Ellis Fine Arts Center. This is especially ideal for parents and guardians, law enforcement, firefighters and EMTS, counselors, & faith community leaders to attend.  BeAlert will also be presenting to USD 234 students (K-12) on Thursday, February 1st and Friday, February 2nd during school hours.

Russ Tuttle will give a high-impact, fast-paced, and evidence-based presentation designed to educate and empower students and guide adults from awareness to action. He uses the #BeAlert strategy to explain the role that social media has in exploiting susceptibility in students.

The event will provide practical advice to caring adults to make them aware of vulnerabilities that can be exploited such as loneliness, isolation, depression, suicide, sexting, sextortion, pornography, cyberbullying, exploitation, sexual exploitation, and domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST)

We are honored to have this event being brought to Fort Scott, and we hope you are able to attend.
