Kansas “Apply Free” days are next Monday through Friday, October 5th through the 9th. During these five days, any Kansas resident, regardless of age or income, can apply for free at a number of Kansas-based public universities, community colleges, technical colleges and additional institutions of higher learning. For more information or help with any part of an application, please see Mr. Messer, senior/junior counselor, in the office.
10/20: Pre-ACT test will be administered to freshman who signed up to take this practice test.
10/27: PSAT for all juniors who signed up and paid. Test will start at 8 a.m. and no late arrivals will be allowed to test.

The 2026 Fall Homecoming Dance is Saturday!
To attend, you must be a current FSHS student in good standing.
Students on the ineligible list will not be able to attend.
Students need to be in school the day of the dance, unless an administrator has given approval.
Dates are welcome if they’re still in high school (or graduated at semester in the current school year).
Sign-up sheets and permission forms for out-of-district dates are available from Pam in the office. Sign up your out-of-district date by THIS Friday!
Breathalyzers will be used at the door.
The dance is from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m., it’s $5 per student (pay at the door) and formal dress is optional!
