FSHS Boys Basketball will play their final game of the season tonight at home vs. Leavenworth. 6:00 start in the FSHS main gym. Congratulations to FSHS Teacher/Coach Brennen Feeback on receiving the 2025 Horizon Award from the Kansas State Department of Education! He received the award last week at a ceremony in Topeka. The mission of the Horizon award is to recognize exemplary first-year teachers who perform in a way that distinguishes them as outstanding. Only 32 teachers across the state who have completed their first year teaching are recognized. Keep up the good work Coach Feeback!

Congratulations to FSHS Senior Payton Atwood! Her name was drawn Tuesday evening at the home basketball games and will receive a $1000 scholarship from Pittsburg State University! Special thanks to Gus the Gorilla for making an appearance!

Fort Scott High School had the privilege of hosting the local Special Olympics Basketball event Wednesday February 26th! What a great opportunity for our students! Members of the basketball teams, cheer squad, and band were involved with the event, and we even had a student section cheering them on! The smiles on the faces of the participants were priceless!

REMINDER: State Send-Off today for our State Wrestling teams as they head to Salina for the 4A State Tournament Friday and Saturday! They will drive by the schools starting around 10:30 and will be headed down National to Wall Street around 10:45/10:50. Come out and cheer them on to Salina! Go Tigers!!!

REMINDER: Spring Sports Parent Meetings tonight at 6 pm at Fort Scott High School. Enter the West Main doors. For parents of all athletes participating in a Spring Sport at FSHS this season.

Fort Scott High School would like to introduce Johnathan Stark as our new Head Football Coach for the 2025 season. He will also be teaching Physical Education beginning next school year. Stark is a 2013 graduate of FSHS and taught and coached at FSHS in 2017. He was also an assistant coach at DeSoto before head coach stints at Uniontown and El Dorado Springs. Most recently he was an assistant coach at Pittsburg High School during the 2024 season. Johnathan and his wife Sarah have 3 children: Evie who is 3, and twins Ella and Eli who are 20 months. FSHS is excited to have Coach Stark back as a Tiger!!!
