Congratulations to the FSHS Cross Country team on their performance at the Chanute Regional Saturday! The Girls team finished in 3rd place to qualify for State as a team, and individual medalists were Jocelyn Fess-4th, Rylee Loercher-11th, and Jerri Smith-12th. Josh Woelhoff qualified for the Boys team, finishing in 15th place and earning a medal. The Tigers will be headed to Wamego for the State Meet this Saturday November 2nd. Go Tigers!!!

Tiger Soccer travels to Prairie Village today for Regional Soccer. Fort Scott takes on Kansas City Christian at 4:00. The soccer field is at the KCC Main Campus, 4801 W. 79th St. Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for students. Go Tigers!!!

Sub-State brackets have been released and are available on the KSHSAA website. Fort Scott will travel to Rock Creek on Saturday and will face Labette County in their first match at 1:00. The winner advances to play Rock Creek. Independence and Louisburg are also in the Rock Creek Sub-State.

Congratulations to FSHS Junior Abbie Gorman on her 6th place finish at the 4A State Tennis Tournament this weekend! She finishes the season with a record of 28 wins and 5 losses, and her 5 losses were all to either the State Runner-Up from last season or the State Runner-Up from this season! Abbie is now a 3-time state medalist, having finished 10th in Doubles as a Freshman and 8th in Singles as a Sophomore.

The boys team finished in 5th place in the team standings, and had two All-SEK finishers: Josh Woelhoff-6th, and Lincoln Fess-9th. The Tigers head to Regionals next Saturday in Chanute!

The 1999 Tiger Football team will be recognized for the 25th anniversary of their 5A State Runner-Up season. All members of the team are invited to report to the South end of the stadium at the beginning of halftime to be a part of the ceremony. Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger!!!

There has been an addition to the FSHS JV Soccer schedule. The JV Tigers will play Chanute at home on Monday October 21st at 4:30 at Ellis Park. There will just be one JV game.

The Fort Scott High School Site Council will meet tonight, 10/16, at 5:30 in the media center at FSHS. Site council members can enter the front doors on the west side of the school.
Congratulations to FSHS Golfers Alyssa Hunt and Luci Dunkeson on qualifying for the 4A State Golf Tournament! Alyssa finished in 6th place at the Fort Scott Regional yesterday, while Luci finished in 12th place. They will compete next Monday and Tuesday, October 21st and 22nd, in Hesston.
