On Thursday, October 15, Fort Scott will host a high school cross country meet on the campus of Fort Scott Middle School. In order to alleviate traffic concerns for this event, we will dismiss students at staggered times in order to help the anticipated traffic congestion. It is understandable that not all families can follow this procedure, but if possible, we would appreciate the assistance to help traffic move more smoothly on this day. Police officers will also be on scene to help guide traffic. If possible, we ask that parents pick up grade levels at the times stated below:

6th Grade - 2:55 Dismissal
7th & 8th Grade - 3:05 Dismissal
Bus Riders will dismiss at 3:20

8th Grade Parents- The first deadline to sign up for Washington Workshop is tomorrow September 9th. To be included with our fundraising campaigns you must be signed up by the initial deadline. You can still sign up past the first deadline if there are spots available, but the deposit will increase. We have nine spots left for this year's trip. Teachers will start collecting cookie dough fundraiser order forms tomorrow before school on the stage in the commons. Please send your child's order form to school no later than this Friday, September 10th. ORDERS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER FRIDAY!! Money will not be due until after orders have come in, but if you have already collected money, please turn it in with the order form(s). With the Labor Day holiday, FSMS students have an extra-long weekend to sell lots of fundraiser items to friends and family. Students who sell at least 25 items will qualify to go to the pizza and movie party. We will start collecting order forms on the stage on Wednesday, September 9th. All order forms are due by Friday, September 11th at 10 a.m.!

Fort Scott Middle School Student Council is selling shirts to raise funds for activities this year. There are a variety of designs, types (shirts/sweatshirts/etc.), and colors of both Fort Scott Middle School and Fort Scott Tigers. Follow the link and purchase your new Tiger apparel.
